Diversity, equity and inclusion and the role this plays within this business.

I am a trauma-informed coach and space holder, committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and active anti-racism in my work and my business.

This means many things to me and my business. I understand that there is always more to learn, and I don't seek perfection, simply progress, recognizing that growth and (un)learning are always available. My deep and truest desire is that all community members feel welcome, seen, and supported in the world of my business, and I commit to doing all I can to make this so.

In this season of my business, this looks like:

  • Holding a trauma-informed lens at the forefront of everything I do, holding space for nuance and actively practicing humanity-affirming ways of working in every area of my work.

  • Celebrating diverse voices, perspectives, and ideas.

  • Investing in ongoing learning and training from people of color to better understand where I need to grow. This looks like both inner work and work that is reflected in more practical ways within my business.

  • Consciously cultivating environments for my community to be able to lean in and be brave.

  • Actively engaging in learning with gender-fluid and non-binary folks.

  • Stating and consciously working within my scope of practice.

  • Continuing to educate myself, doing the internal and external work required to understand systemic racism and how that impacts the industry I work within.

  • An open willingness to have courageous conversations that involve deep listening and honouring the humanity of everyone involved.

  • Regularly connecting with the values of my business and ensuring that inclusivity remains highly prioritised.

  • Acknowledging that I am a work in progress, willing, open, and curious, and deeply committed to lifelong learning.
